Fun In The Yard

The other day Sydney and I went into the backyard to play in the dirt, climb trees and make a house!  Its so much fun, but also kind of scary to see your kids grow!  I love that I can do new things with her but I'm also sad that the time seems to fly so fast.  I'm just thankful I was able to capture some of these memories.  Photos freeze moments in time and let you go back and really pay attention to the details.

The Glenn Family - Before their big trip across the pond!

It's always great to catch up with people I've done photos with before!  Last night I had the pleasure of taking some photos of the Glenn family's two boys!  It was so amazing as a photographer to walk in and see a bunch of the photos up on their wall from my first shoot I did with them!

I was so glad to have the chance to meet the newest edition to their family before they head out abroad.  It's so wonderful when you get to develop a relationship with people and get to see their family grow.

As they start this new chapter in their family's life I know they'll be blessed!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Sydney got to go on her first Easter egg hunt yesterday!  She wasn't sure about what to do at first, but once she figured out there was candy inside she got the hang of it!

We had a lovely Resurrection Day starting at 7am with a sunrise service at church.  They had a little skit with people dressed up and giving an account of Jesus and what they had seen.  We had John, Pilot, Mary, a Roman guard, and a whole cast of others.  Then it was down south to visit with Nannette's side of the family for lunch and the egg hunt!

I hope you all had a great day too and that you know the hope and joy that comes from knowing Jesus has made you free through his love and sacrifice!

Kansas City Kite Club Festival 2014

We had a great time Saturday going to the Kite Festival over at Longview Community college!  Relaxing in the sun, taking some pictures and just flying some kites!  I would highly recommend it!  It's amazing that kites can be so massive!  Flying squids, fish, alligators, giant windsocks, parrots, trilobites, and more!
